At CCCS we are committed to being good stewards of the resources that are entrusted to us. We believe that it is important to practice what we preach and to manage our finances with prudence.

At the same time, the increased demand for our agency’s services has been staggering. In 2007, we provided counseling and education to more than 400,000 people, an increase of 39% from 2006; over the last five years, service delivery has quadrupled. This growth has had a significant impact on both our revenues and expenses.

  • Revenues increased from $12.3 million in 2003 to $27.3 million in 2007.
  • We have made great progress in diversifying our revenue. Fees and contributions from creditors and clients for debt management services made up approximately 90 percent of the agency’s revenues in 2003. Those two sources contributed less than 32 percent of revenues in 2007.
  • Program expenditures have remained relatively constant between 2003 and 2007, varying between 85 percent and 87 percent of the agency’s total expenses. In 2007 only 14% of agency expenses were for administration or fundraising.
